This guide covers walk-in queues

Use these instructions for service queues. Order collection uses its own tickets, QR code and reports.

For owners and managers. Staff can only adjust service time and staff count.

Open Queue Settings and select your queue. Change what you need, then choose Save changes.

Settings and service hours save together. If your hours don't load, refresh and try again before saving.

SectionGuidance
Queue detailsGive the queue a recognisable name, ticket prefix and short description of who should join.
How customers joinChoose whether the queue shows on the venue card, whether customers can join remotely, and whether they need to enter a name or phone. Note: hiding the queue doesn't make it private — people with the QR code or a direct link can still join when joining is open and there is space.
Service and waiting timesSet how long each customer takes and how many people are serving. Turn on automatic calling if you want the system to call the next customer for you.
Service hoursSet your open hours for each day, including breaks. If multiple days have the same hours, copy them instead of re-entering.
Customer ticket informationChoose what customers see: their position, how many people are waiting, an estimated wait time, and a “stay nearby” reminder.
Queue availability and limitsTurn the queue on or off. Set a limit on how many tickets can be active at once, or a daily cap on total customers.

Staff example

Four barbers working at four usable chairs = 4, even if only one receptionist is signed in. If the same team serves multiple queues, set the number lower — they can't be at full capacity in two places at once.

Service hours example

Monday can end at 5 pm while Thursday ends at 9 pm. Use separate periods for a lunch break. Set 24 hours replaces that day's periods with a full day.

No schedule restriction

A queue with no service periods has no opening-hours restriction. The editor asks for confirmation when you remove all restrictions. Other joining controls still apply.

Service hours are not strict joining hours

A customer may join before service opens or during a break if later capacity is available. Other limits and availability checks still apply.

Capacity example

Maximum active tickets of 8 limits waiting, called and in-service tickets together. A daily limit of 40 is separate: active tickets reserve places and completed customers use them. The daily limit still applies even if you hide the remaining-spots counter from customers.

Stay nearby

Set a threshold (e.g. 10 minutes). When a customer's estimated wait reaches that number or less, their ticket asks them to head back and sends one return alert if alerts are enabled.

This uses the wait estimate, not GPS. It works even if you hide the numeric wait from customers. Estimates can change and alert delivery depends on browser permission and device support. Customers should keep their ticket available to check.

Automatic calling

It can call the first customer in the queue immediately when they join and call the next waiting customer after completion. Pausing service stops automatic calling.

This is an in-app alert, not a phone call or text message.
