Customers

Do I need an account?

No customer account is needed to join a walk-in queue or track a collection order. A walk-in venue may ask for your name or phone number; collection uses your receipt number.

Why does my browser offer to install QueueFinder?

Your browser can install the web version of QueueFinder, adding an icon to your Home Screen or app launcher for easy access. This is optional—no app store download is needed, and you can keep using QueueFinder in your browser without installing it or creating an account.

Can I join from home?

Some businesses let you join from anywhere. Others only let you join by scanning the QR code at the door. If the queue is full or closed, you won't be able to join either way.

Does scanning a QR guarantee a place?

No. The queue needs to be open and not full. If either condition isn't met, the QR won't get you in.

Is the waiting time guaranteed?

No. It's an estimate based on how busy the venue is. Use it to plan your return, but don't set a timer and vanish — stay within the time your ticket shows.

Why can't I see my position or wait?

Walk-in venues choose which queue information to show. Order collection tickets do not show queue position or a preparation-time estimate; they show when staff mark the order Ready.

Will I receive a text message?

No. Alerts use browser notifications, not text messages.

What does I'm coming do?

It tells the team you have responded and are making your way back. It does not start service.

Can I leave the queue?

Use Leave queue on your active ticket. If you return later, a new join is subject to availability.

What if the business is not using QueueFinder?

Search for the business and tap 'Request QueueFinder' to show you'd like a queue there. You can share the request with the business. This doesn't create a ticket for you.

Businesses

What is included in Free?

One venue. Unlimited queues, staff accounts, and customer check-ins. Analytics and reporting. QR code flyers. No credit card required.

What if I need more venues?

Your first venue is free. Additional venues are a small monthly fee. Add them from your dashboard.

What is the difference between a service and a queue?

A service groups related queues. A queue is the line of customers with its own settings. Haircuts could be a service containing a Walk-in haircuts queue.

Does staff availability mean signed-in users?

No. Enter the number of people who can serve that queue at the same time.

Can staff edit all settings?

No. Staff can adjust service time and headcount for their assigned queue. Full settings (queue type, limits, visibility) are owner or manager only.

Can I add extra time to one customer?

Not yet. You can adjust the typical service time for the whole queue, but there's no way to add extra time to one specific customer's ticket. If you wish to have this feature, contact [email protected] with your request.

Does QueueFinder book appointments?

QueueFinder manages walk-in waiting and receipt-number collection tracking. It does not book appointments or place takeaway orders.

Can a GP use it?

A practice can use QueueFinder for waiting/customer flow alongside its existing systems. It does not provide clinical triage, medical records or established practice-system integrations.

Order collection

Does the business need to enter my order twice?

No. The business uses its till as usual. You scan its collection QR and enter your receipt number; that registration appears on the collection dashboard. Staff mark the matching ticket Ready when your order is ready.

What if two receipts have the same order number?

Each ticket gets a letter (A, B) so staff can tell which order is yours. Show them your receipt and ticket — they'll match it at the counter.

What does an expired collection ticket mean?

The collection window has closed. Check with staff — they can still mark it Collected if you pick up later. Your food isn't automatically discarded.

Can I fix the receipt number or track another order?

While Waiting, open Ticket options and choose Correct order number. Once Ready, ask staff to check a mistake. After tracking ends, use Track another order if available, or scan the current collection QR again.

Can a venue use both queues and order collection?

Yes. Some venues run both a walk-in queue and order collection. They use separate QR codes and tickets, so they don't interfere with each other.

Claiming and verification

Should I claim a listing or add a new business?

Search for the correct location first. Claim its unclaimed listing when available. If you cannot find the business, use Manually add a business to register it.

Why is my venue still inactive after registration?

You need to verify ownership before your venue goes live. You can do this with your business email, your website, or a manual check. Follow the steps shown on your claim screen.
