Waiting for coffee or food
Customers order and pay as usual, then scan your collection QR and enter their receipt number. Staff mark the matching ticket Ready when their coffee or food can be collected.
Waiting for counter service
If you run a separate queue for counter service, customers can join a Walk-in queue, follow their turn and return when called.
Order first, then track pickup
Choose Order collection for customers waiting for coffee or takeaway food they have already ordered and paid for. Keep using your usual till and preparation process. QueueFinder tracks the receipt number; it does not take the order or process payment.
Make each QR code’s purpose clear
Place the collection QR near your order counter and explain that customers need their receipt number. They can follow their ticket while the order is prepared. If you also use a Walk-in queue, keep its signs distinct so customers choose the right workflow.
Let customers know when pickup is ready
Staff mark the matching receipt Ready on the Collection dashboard. Customers can enable browser alerts on their ticket. If alerts are off, call the receipt number as usual. Check the receipt before handing over the order.
Add counter-service queues if you need them
If your café also runs a separate queue for counter service, choose Both during venue setup. Staff switch between the Walk-in dashboard and Collection dashboard. Each has its own dashboard, QR tools and reports. The two workflows still count as one venue.
Review collection activity
Collection reports show tickets created by scanning and their current status. Choose the venue and reporting period you want to review. Use them to review collection activity and unresolved tickets with your team.
These figures do not measure every till order, sales revenue or preparation time. Mark each order Collected when you hand it over — otherwise it stays on the dashboard.
Keep your team on the same page
Give staff their own accounts and access to the venue’s Collection dashboard. The team can see incoming orders and their status. These are the orders customers track by scanning your QR code. Mark matching tickets Ready and record collection when handing over orders.
Does this take orders or connect to my till?
No. Customers order and pay through your usual process. QueueFinder tracks an existing paid order by receipt number; it does not connect to your POS or kitchen system.
