Takeaway shops

Your takeaway counter, without the hovering.

Take the order as usual. Let customers know when it is ready to collect.

Keep taking orders the way you do now

Take the order and payment in your till or POS as usual. The customer scans your collection QR code and enters the order number from their receipt. That creates a ticket on your dashboard. You don't need to type the order in again.

From receipt to ready

  1. The customer orders fish and chips and receives order number 42.
  2. They scan the collection QR code, enter 42 and choose whether to enable browser alerts.
  3. When the food is ready, staff find order 42 and select Ready.
  4. The customer returns with their receipt. After handing over the food, staff select Collected.

Give customers room to move

Customers can find a table or buy a drink while the food cooks. Their ticket shows the order’s status, and a browser notification can tell them it is ready. If alerts are off, call the number as usual.

Handle the ordinary exceptions

Duplicate receipt numbers get a letter (A, B) so you can tell which order is which. Staff still check the receipt before handing over food. Ready tickets expire 15 minutes after you mark them Ready (you can change this). Staff can mark a late pickup Collected, or close the ticket to clear it from the live dashboard.

Do we need to use walk-in queues too?

No. Choose Order collection during setup for a collection workspace without the walk-in queue tools. QueueFinder doesn't connect to your till. It tracks the tickets customers create by scanning your QR code and entering their receipt number.
