Start with reception
A patient arrives for their appointment and checks in with your reception team. If your practice uses a waiting queue, reception can direct them to the appropriate venue QR code. The browser ticket then helps them follow their turn while they wait.
Keep reception in control of the waiting list
Use separate queues where your practice has distinct services or rooms. Staff can open a patient’s ticket, call their turn and record when service starts and finishes. Choose whether to display queue position or estimated wait information based on what is useful for your practice.
Choose where patients can join
If patients need to check in at reception first, use joining by venue QR only rather than remote joining. Tell patients where they may wait and when they should return. They can check their ticket in the browser. If alerts are off, reception can call them by name as usual.
Review the waiting process
See who joined, who was served, and where waits crept up. Use that information alongside your practice’s own records to see where the waiting process could be improved.
Does QueueFinder manage appointments or patient records?
No. Keep appointments, clinical information and treatment priorities in your practice’s existing systems. QueueFinder manages the waiting queue; your team decides who should be seen and when.
