Give each service or room its own queue
A clinic can have several waiting lists at one venue. For example, reception may direct patients to a consultation queue, a vaccination queue or a separate room’s queue. Each queue has its own settings and waiting tickets, so staff can manage the right list.
Set up around reception’s workflow
Choose which services and queues patients can join. If reception must check them in first, use venue QR joining and explain which queue they should choose. Staff can call a patient, start their service and complete their ticket from the Walk-in dashboard.
Tell patients what to expect
Choose whether to show queue position or estimated wait information. Browser alerts can help patients know when to return, but your clinic should tell them where they are allowed to wait. If alerts are off, reception can call them by name as usual.
Manage changes during the day
Adjust each queue’s service time and staff count as needed. Pause service when a room is temporarily unavailable, and close new joins if you can't take more patients. Other service queues can continue operating.
Does one clinic with several queues count as several venues?
No. Multiple queues within the same venue count as one venue. First venue free. Additional venues $29 AUD/month each in Australia. Add them from your dashboard.
Can the queue decide which patient needs urgent care?
No. Clinical assessment and treatment priorities remain with your team. QueueFinder is a waiting queue, not a triage or patient-record system.
